Manon Costa

Since september 2016, I am assistant professor (Maitre de conférence) at the Institut de Mathématiques de Toulouse, in the Probability team.

Current research

I am mainly interessed in stochastic processes and their application to Biology or Ecology as well as stochastic algorithms.
More specifically, I have been working on the following topics:

• Individual based models motivated by biological issues (Birth and death processes with interactions, models for ecological communities, sexual reproduction mechanisms... )
• Scaling limits of stochastic processes,
• Non linear Hawkes processes and their link with cumulative renewal processes, ANR HAPPY
• Convergence and non asymptotic behaviour of Robbins Monro stochastic algorithm with different speeds,

I am currently involved in the following research projects:

• the ANR MBAP-P (2025-2029) driven by Bastien Mallein
• the
• the ANR HAPPY which I coordinate from 2024 to 2028.
• the Chaire Modélisation Mathématique et Biodiversité ,
• the ANR DEEV (2020-2024) driven by Sepideh Mirrahimi.
