Abstract : In order to gather recent inferential tools for comparing several populations using Principal Component Analysis results (Flury, 1988, Schott, 1988, Chen and Robinson, 1989), we propose an interactive software, COMPAR, written on a Personal Computer with the GAUSS programming language. The involved tests of comparison are based on covariance matrices, under normality assumptions. Classical treatments are added to these tools, which constitute the COMPAR software. A presentation is given, and examples illustrate the steps of the investigation for the comparison of several groups.
