Contrast Resonance

There is a picture of one of my little baby's clothes, laying on my bed. Note the embrodied beret, with a dark line passing through it in the middle. The experiment is not in ideal conditions : whithe strips are wider than dark ones, they are not evenly spaces (because the cloth is not perfectly flat, and their contrast is not constant because of the light. Despite all this, there will be contrast resonnance.
The same, but out of focus.
More out of focus. It is still a dark streak that goes through the middle of the fuzzy patch of the beret. Note the shape of the bright spot on the magnifying glass : the cam's lenses are obturated by an annulus, which in practice will slightly reinforce (so doI think) the contrast resonnance : sorry, the situation is not ideal.
More fuzzy : the strips become almost invisible, their contrast is minimal.
Even more : instead of becoming less visible, the stips are MORE visible. That is contrast resonnance. Note that the patterns on the bed are less visible : they did not reson. Not only the contrast resons, but the bright and dark strips are now inverted : it is a bright one that goes through the middle of the beret's patch. This picture is typical of what I see whe I remove my glasses.
Very fuzzy : the strips are still there, whereas they would have beed completely removed if this was a Gaussian blur. This time, a dark strip goes through the middle of the beret's patch.
