Aims and scope

The goal of this school is to give young mathematicians an opportunity to learn about the latest methods and results in tropical geometry and cluster algebras, two closely related fields which have witnessed considerable progress in the last years. It will be also an occasion for young mathematicians working in one of these fields to get acquainted with the ideas and techniques of the other.


Format and speakers

During each of the two weeks of the school, there will be three courses of 5 hours. They will be given by the following leading experts:

Maxim Kontsevich (IHES)

Grigory Mikhalkin (University of Geneva)

Michael Shapiro (Michigan State University)

David Speyer (Univeristy of Michigan)
