Very Large Volume Data Processing
Project description
The aim of this project is to build prototypes and software
solutions for the manipulation of very large data. The data can be
2D, 2D+time, 3D or 3D+time. Typical data contain giga voxels/pixels.
The applications which are currently developed are
- Segmentation of volume data
- Tomographic reconstruction of volume data
- Compression of volume data
Developed tools
The algorithmic solutions addressing those issues are based on
- Graph cuts
- Wavelets and wavelet packets
Environment
The core of the project is written in C, the graphical user
interface is in Qt.
