Linear Matrix Inequalities, Semidefinite Programming and Quantum Information Theory 2016


This workshop reunites specialists from quantum information theory and from operator theory, matrix theory and optimization in order to explore the applications of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) and semidefinite programming (SDP) to solving problems in quantum information theory (QIT). The funding for this workshop has been provided by the grants "RMTQIT" (ANR-12-IS01-0001-01) and "StoQ" (ANR-14-CE25-0003-01) . It will have two parts: three minicourses by Aram Harrow, Jean-Bernard Lasserre and Mihai Putinar, and a series of one-hour lectures by specialists in the above-mentioned fields.
